We hope that this note finds you well and safe. It’s been quite a year to say the least. The pandemic forced us to cancel, reschedule, and cancel again as all of us confronted the reality of COVID shutdowns, new CDC regulations, and the rollout of vaccines that will get us traveling and sailing once again. We have worked closely with our partners at Regent throughout and are excited to provide exclusive early access to our newest Spotlight itineraries for 2021 and 2022 to you before its released to the public.
We look forward to sailing the Med with filmmakers in October, being back in the Caribbean in December, returning to Asia in February ’22, returning to Alaska for the first time in May ’22, producing our “World Wars” cruise in August ’22, having fun on our “Hooray for Hollywood” itinerary and sailing to South America with our “Science and Innovation” programming. We know that there is high demand to return to luxury sailing and we are thrilled with the opportunity to produce the best and most unique travel experiences at sea.
Where are we: Having locked in our dates and itineraries, we are now reaching out to speakers, performers and other production partners to fill out presentations, performances, pre-cruise experiences, special shore excursions, and on-board events for each cruise. You can expect additional information to be confirmed in the next few months as more of our invited guests get the vaccine and confirm their availability to travel. We are also working on several new Pre-sail adventures in London (World Wars), Los Angeles (Hollywood and Science) and New York (Broadway!) cruises. After 2 years of Zoom calls and travel shows, we can’t wait to share new experiences in some of our favorite cities prior to embarkation with our fully curated itineraries.
About COVID-19: Our partners at Regent are working with the CDC to identify safety protocols that will allow the cruise lines to begin operating again. Our opinion is that future cruise travel will require the COVID vaccine as a condition to sail. This has not been confirmed or announced but it seems logical when one considers the challenges of cruise travel. We also know that progress against the COVID virus will determine when countries will open up their ports to cruise guests. When these issues are addressed, know that your safety will be first priority as Regent and the industry return to the seas when its safe to do so. A new website! We’ve used our downtime during COVID to redesign and rebuild our website at www.artfultravelers.com. Here you will find more detailed information about each voyage, talent bios, special programming for pre-cruise events, exclusive shore excursions, and on-board activities. (NOTE: Reservations for some exclusive pre-cruise and some on-board events will open up early this summer.)
Booking with Regent or your travel agent: While you may not find all our Spotlight information on the Regent website (they are working on it), all of these programs are live in the Regent reservations systems and ready to book. Check out all of our new journeys below. We look forward to welcoming all of you back on board for one or more of these Spotlight voyages. We will have much to celebrate and can’t wait to be with you again!
